Driver Education Rules and Regulations
STATE OF N.H. REQUIREMENTS
Amend and renumber Saf-C 3114.01(a), effective 10-17-09 (Doc. #9568), as Saf-C 3114.01(a) and (b), and renumber existing paragraphs (b) through (e) as Saf-C 3114.01(c) through (f), cited and to read as follows: Saf-C 3114.01 Driver Education Program Eligibility. (a) All students shall be eligible for driver education provided that: (1) They are at least 15 years and 9 months of age, on or before the first regularly scheduled classroom session of the course in which they are enrolled; or (2) Their sixteenth birthday occurs on or before the last regularly scheduled classroom session of the course in which they are enrolled. (b) Instructors shall not meet the requirements of (a) by scheduling special sessions on or after a student's birthday or withholding the completion certificate until the student's birthday.
RandR Behind the Wheel Rules and Classroom Expectations
One can legally practice drive in N.H. at the age of 15 1/2 years with someone who is at least 25 years and has a current drivers license.
You must carry a copy of your birth certficate with you while driving with an instructor as well as with your parents. This serves as identification while practicing.
You are required to wear a pair of sneakers while driving with us. No boots, open shoes, flats, JUST TIED SNEAKERS. No other type of shoe may be worn.
If you do not have a copy of your birth certficate and/or sneakers with you when you are scheduled to drive with us, you will not be allowed behind the wheel and will need to schedule a different drive time. You may observe for that drive period.
You are expected to remain attentive while observing in the back seat.
If you do not show up for a scheduled drive time or do not have the proper materials with you, you may be charged a $30.00 fee.
The fee is due prior to your next scheduled drive time.
Student must be prepared for classroom lesson. Equiped with proper materials for documenting notes and related content. Student must have with them all reading material as required. Students could be charged a fee of 30.00 dollars and/or risk the chance of having to exit the course.
The fee is due prior too returning to the classroom.
